A few months ago, we raised our Series A in order to scale hiring and product development. Since then, we’ve doubled the team and expanded our footprint to 15 different cities across the United States and Canada.
Today, we are excited to announce a few recent leadership hires that will further accelerate company growth:
Nathan Harkenrider, VP of Engineering: Nathan joins us from Smartsheet where he spent 8 years helping scale the business from an early stage start-up to a 2,000-person public company. Most recently, he led the core platform engineering organization, leading a team of over 100 engineers to tackle some of the most complex enterprise enablement and spreadsheet architecture challenges. At Vareto, Nathan is building a world-class engineering team with an emphasis on a supportive, high-performing culture.
Sasha Martin, Head of Recruiting: Sasha is the former Head of Recruiting at Shelf Engine where she built the recruiting function from scratch and increased company headcount by 3x. Previously, she held leadership roles at Facebook, Smartsheet, and Amperity. At Vareto, she leads all aspects of talent acquisition and is focused on building a first class candidate experience. Sasha is passionate about building talented, diverse teams, and regularly receives rave reviews from candidates that interact with her.
Chris Barrows, Head of Product Marketing: Chris was previously Director of Product for Expedia’s loyalty platform as it grew into one of the world’s largest. Previously, he held product and marketing leadership roles at Smartsheet, Starbucks, Amazon, and Microsoft. At Smartsheet, he led mobile, reporting, and dashboards products as well as marketing strategy focused on enterprise customer segmentation. At Vareto, Chris leads all things marketing. Currently, he is focused on shaping the Vareto story and brand for the innovative solution that finance teams deserve.
